FIZ Karlsruhe will discontinue its document delivery service AutoDoc at the end of 2022

AutoDoc customers can switch to the Article Galaxy platform from Reprints Desk.

FIZ Karlsruhe will discontinue its document delivery service AutoDoc on December 31, 2022. The current AutoDoc customers have been informed about this in writing. Customers will have the option of a seamless transition to Reprints Desk, a professional full-text provider in the academic environment. Reprints Desk is a U.S. company wholly owned by Research Solutions, Inc. The company focuses on the fields of science, engineering, life sciences and medicine and operates worldwide.

FIZ Karlsruhe has reached an agreement with Reprints Desk in advance that allows AutoDoc customers to transfer their existing contracts and contract terms to Reprints Desk if they wish. They will not have to negotiate new contracts with Reprints Desk. All previous contract terms and conditions will remain in place. Once they have switched to Reprints Desk, AutoDoc customers will be able to use the Article Galaxy platform for their full-text orders. This platform offers identical ordering options and functionality as AutoDoc; 80% of full-texts are delivered within seconds. Overall, like AutoDoc, Reprints Desk has a fulfillment rate of well over 90%. Customers can pay their invoices either in USD or in euros. The AutoDoc helpdesk is available to advise existing AutoDoc customers on the transition to Reprints Desk and will be happy to answer any questions.
